As October, 2021 ends Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has issued a total of 106,765 Permanent Residence (PR) invitations to applicants in the Express Entry pool. The invitations were extended to those in the Canadian Experian Class and Provincial Nominee Program streams.
However, according to data set from Open Canada Government, there were 95,700 PRs admitted to Canada from the Express Entry pool from January 1 – August 31, 2021. The province of Ontario has the highest number of PRs admitted at 59,655 followed by British Columbia at 21,745 and Alberta at 7,505. A total of 51,680 PRs admitted were male and 44,015 were females.
No PR invitations were given to applicants eligible under the Federal Skilled Worker Program and Federal Skilled Trades Worker Program.
The largest number of PR invitations for CEC at 27,332 was issued early in the year on Feb. 13, 2021. It also has the lowest cut off Comprehensive Ranking Score of 75 points. This was an unprecedented number of invitations in a single draw.
By the end of October, IRCC has given out 95,153 PR invitations to CEC applicants apparently prioritizing those who are already in Canada, and 11,612 PR invitations to Provincial Nominee Program candidates.
